I left Desire Expanse on my ally priest today. There has been no activity for the last 2-3 weeks, the GM hasn’t been on for over a week, and it’s not really a pvp guild.
I’d more call it, a guild of undergeared baddies that beg everyone to do 2’s constantly. And by baddies I’m not referring rating, more like people in greens and blues, who rage quit while in a party with others when the bg isn’t a win.
My ‘bat man-ing’ doesn’t always go so well some days. I cleared a hunter out that was wrecking Lor’danel, helped beat 3-4 horde bothering Goldshire, but it went a little south after that.
I ran into a warrior and hunter in Darnassus who rolled me repeatedly. I paired up with a pve geared hunter and he claimed to have cleared them out but they just either, kept returning quickly or just didn’t die. I saw him kill the other hunter once though. I had to give up and leave though, I couldn’t take them together.
Then out in Lakeshire, another spriest and enhance shaman, yeah nope. Double damage and off heals, had to call that one off too. I have yet to add any similar minded Alliance to my friends list either, though I added a horde warlock I killed twice, who was in Evil Heart.
Oh speaking of, I left Evil Heart on all my chars. Sealgaer left a while back, but I cancelled my account and I wasn’t doing anything with the guild anyway. I have about 20 days left of paid time.

Additionally I asked this guy if he was really in “all blues” and I got “blues?”.
Extra No. Call it elitist all you want, but please at least have full grievous and know what being ‘in blues’ means.
Today I came across this post in the Whisperwind sub-section of the forums:
“I’ve been trying to do Arenas to get some wins in 2v2, but even after more than 20 losses needed to get down to 400 rating to scrape a measly win, I still can’t win because apparently there are still 700k hp DK carries even down that low of a rating bracket. Does anyone here want to help me get conquest points? I really don’t have that much money to pay, but if you’re in a PvP guild and you’re all pvp-geared, it shouldn’t be that hard right?
If you help me get conquest points for better PvP gear, I can do serious, competitive 3v3 or 5v5 or RBG’s with you or your guild. I’m very competitively-focused. Sadly, gear has never been my strong point.”
20 losses and still no win? Gear has never been a strong point? Wait, what? Gear is so easy to get! Pvp especially. So let’s dawdle over to this armory shall we?
7 pieces of green gear, 1 blue, 4 grievous pieces, misc epic pve pieces. 8 missing enchants (that means none), 6 empty sockets (that means none), no belt buckle, no reforging. No professions, no HK’s.
This sounded familiar but I can’t quite place it yet. I was in a guild at some point where someone said a similar line. Especially the end part. Translation: Do a lot of work gearing me up, THEN I can be a good guildie and help you guys out.
How about you get yourself as prepared as you can, proving you are willing to help out? Man, that’s going to bug me now.
And although we won, it would have been fun regardless. We took their keep, we took theirs, they had all the GYs, we had all the GYs, they broke glaives, etc etc, had an awesome time.
