Salary Capped

Been on my horde priest a lot, mostly pvping.  I got a  Tyran robe on my horde priest from winning bgs and last night I did 2’s with Sealgaer. Remember I use to do 2’s with Ultrabomber? Yeah.  Night and day.

horde7

horde8

It was more fun than running with Shock for some reason, I think because I prefer being partnered with a range.  He did a good job keeping in my LoS and providing a lot of peels as well.  I have a hard time doing that with melee for whatever reason. It’s nice to play with a hunter that doesn’t just let me try to tank everything with no help.  Was quite fun!

Last night I got an invite to a pvp guild by Oromis:

horde9

He mentioned that they would pull me in immediately since he already saw me heal in bgs when I was undergeared.  Hm.  I like the people in Frats guild, but I don’t think they are pvpers.  Not sure if I’ll switch though but it would be nice.  Might give it a shot and maybe get a little more rating than I’ve had before.

It’s called Defending

I’ve been getting into tiffs a lot lately with people, especially warriors for some reason, in pvp. For instance we were doing an EoTS and alliance actually had 3 bases and horde had none. We had BET and horde rushed it with at least 8 if not more people. We fought like crazy and kept it. During the struggle a warrior comments that “hey you guys circle jerking at BET can you get another base?” I tell him it’s called defending, we were defending the base.

He says something random about ‘no it’s called peeling and feinting’. I said aww cute look the warrior is saying random words. None of that has anything to do with defending bases, which is what you do in EoTS besides flag capping. I mean if we had LOST the base, by all means move. Ugh.

Argh CC!

CC continues to be ridiculous in battlegrounds. I don’t know if I’m just not getting peels or what but to not be able to use your own character for long periods of time is just insane.

But had some craziness go on in a TP battle with a rogue (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/k … u/advanced) who was able to speed across the field twice as fast as my druid if not faster, run around the base with at least 8 horde on him and didn’t die, and we came back to win it after being down 0 to 2. Amazing.

What does that even mean?

We think the mage may have left because there was not enough activity in the guild for him. I’ve seen this not that long ago actually. Another person joined, asked for dungeons once or twice, then left under a week later. And it’s always at like, 11am, when most people are not playing. Some people expect a guild to provide constant activity, and I’ve been in several guilds since I’ve been playing and that’s never been the case. Esp if you are like “hey lets raid but not LFR!” that’s going to be rough.

Another pattern I’ve seen lately is when a person says something, and another refutes the action, the first person replies with “…”. What does that even mean? For example in TB today

rogue: Go to a base and hide
me: Well if you stealth it won’t cap
rogue: I didn’t mean that I mean, stay hidden out of view.
me: Why? if they see what appears to be an empty base, they would stop and try to take it. When the bar doesn’t move it’s obvious someone is there. Attackers don’t approach an empty base they don’t have and LEAVE because they can’t see you.
rogue: …

Warbomb was fond of doing that when his suggestions weren’t met with cries of “sir YES sir!”

Stealthed Heals

Being a stealthed healer, is terribly fun. I’m sure it would be better if I was feral, but gosh. IoC is the CTA this past weekend, and Alliance has something like a 99% win rate. So far the following tactics have not grown old and made me laugh a number of times.

Out of the gates run down to the quarry, cap flag. Stealth, stand on the prow as far back as possible, ready to slip off the second someone gets too close. Watch horde arrive, let them cap. Some will run right off, wait for them to get out of viewing distance, defend. Watch them run back, switch locations, they recap. They leave. Recap. Laugh some more.

Some people cap and stand around for a bit, but if my experience in bgs is any indication, no one has the ability to stay and defend for more than a few minutes in random bgs. 1 min tops is all they can stand and they run off and let me recap.

One poor rogue tonight capped it, ran off, I defended. He came back, I let him capture and waited for him to leave, recapped. He came back again, recapped, stood around a while, left, I recapped, moved locations to the back, etc. He had to go back and forth like 4x. love it! I never get caught either; they never see me.
