Watching World Defense

Having watched world defense on my server for a while, I notice patterns on what zones get hit a lot, and which ones not to bother.

New Thalanaar: typically some horde farming cloth or doing a quest out there.

The Sea Reaver’s Run:  a daily quest

Farmer Saldeans Farm:  some asshole killing low level quest givers

Honor Hold:  Horde mad about something

Hellfire Peninsula: Horde just outside of Honor hold killing quest givers

Darnassus:  a lot of spam is a world raid, a little is someone you’ll probably never be able to locate.

Darkshire:  Some higher level thinking he’s hot crap.

Halaa:  Lazy PVErs trying to get the mount

Nijel’s Point:  Low level horde who got lost

Astranaar, Lor’danel:  Horde of varying levels messing with Alliance.

I actually fought a BM hunter in Astranaar the other day, he got me though.  They hit hard and heal like crazy.  I could have played better, though.

What? He’s gonna what? With what?

Got my CP cap for the week so decided to go feral and do some world defense again. Killed a mage around Ironforge and Kharanos, then moved out to Amberpine Lodge, where I fought this warrior named Nagushi-Thrall (Drwatson).  I forgot I had sold my cloak, and upon repurchasing, hadn’t put a glider kit on it, so after he kept taking off with the glider to avoid a death, I followed.  Only, I didn’t have a glider.

I fell to my death and came back to my body with him teabagging me.  “Enraged” I rezzed but took another death being not at all prepared. Whoops.

Got the glider situation fixed however AND THEN

and

Then he returned with a DK, I jumped him to start then the warrior showed up.  Got the DK low, typhooned the warrior off the edge, then finished the DK.  Killed the DK a second time a bit later while the warrior watched (I found out they are roommates) and then almost got the warrior again (he runs on CD).  Then he btagged me, but was pretty cool.

Boxing bot trains

WoWScrnShot_091115_104537

First, went back to my favorite robe transmog, just with slightly different shoulders.  The one-shoulder archer look doesn’t pan-out as a gnome.

Then the other thing.  Bots.  I did a Gilneas today where FOUR people went to LH and just ran around in circles.  I just afk’d out of that.  Then on Thunderhorn, this guy runs around botting, what we called in Lineage 2 a “bot train”

WoWScrnShot_091015_200806

We called this a bot train because one person (the DK) is obviously piloting and the pile of characters behind him choo-choo like a train anywhere he goes.  I know Blizzard calls it multiboxing but that’s botting. BOTTING.

I mean if THAT is ok, when that person is very obviously NOT playing all 8 or whatever characters, why isn’t it ok to have 1 character entirely piloted?  Tell me why.  I understand they use something to make for instance, the E key do Death Grip on the DK, but PW Shield on the DK for the priest, or assist with Frostbolt on the mage, but that’s still bullshit.

And no, he didn’t kill me.  He was that bad.

Ermph, I found the FEELS

When I was looking for the treasures for the achievement, I took off of Nagrand, since everything was ON A HILL and I DON’T HAVE FLYING.  That took me out to Frostfire Ridge.  I first ran into this orc.

Then later, much farther away, I found this guy.

with this note

Karash, my wolf,

I was so happy to find your note, I had to bite my knuckle to keep from yelling and waking up the other trappers.
Of course I remember that day! You and Longhowl prowling the flats, looking so fierce. My unsteady aim, that pitiful throw. Can you believe we almost killed each other? Now I want nothing more than to live beside you for all my days.
I know a place. North across the flats, behind the volcano overlooking Colossal’s Fall. I will leave bones to mark the way. Come find me, and we can be free together.

Yours forever,
Magra

P.S. I will keep Longhowl’s fang safe. Attached is my own good luck charm – the foot from my first successful snare. Bring it safely to me, or I will gut you like a hare!

After you take their notes, and ‘talk’ to them again, she shows:

<She waited for him until her breath froze.>

and he shows:

<He was willing to lose everything to be with her.>

Aww.  /sniff
