OMG HELP

Last night we attempted heroics in Post Mortem.  We got Morchok like usual, and did fine with Yor’sahj though I am pretty sure when the shaman kept putting down healing rain, even prior to the debuff slime being absorbed, it still gave everyone 1 stack of the debuff.  Someone told me it does only one but giving everyone 1 stack when they didn’t want it can be an issue.  We got it down even with that so I guess it was ok.

We did heroic Zon’ozz though on our successful attempt I lost the mage when I lost which way they were running. I know they were supposed to go to the right but they moved much farther out of my range than I was use to. I got Heroic Finger of Zon’ozz during that.

Heroic Hagara was another story.  We did progress,  but there were several flaws that caused it to fail.  First, this is clearly a problem.

Things I saw as going wrong:

1) the druid healer was told to stack in the middle during frost phase, but instead was running around in tree form in Watery Entrenchment until he died.

2)  Either someone was dispelling the Frostflake on demand, or the dps were calling out for dispels when they didn’t actually dip in the bubble.  I think it was a bit of both.

3) People weren’t actually dipping in and out of the bubble quickly, I saw the hunter run halfway to the middle of the entrenchment at least once.  We said “run to the middle” but I personally specified it meant “dip in and out” not literally the middle.

4) the druid never popped tranq during the lightning phase, my divine hymn kept people alive but barely clinging to life by the time the phase ended.

So needless to say we didn’t get that one down. Hoping to get it tonight.  Makes me miss my A9N team even more; it took us maybe 2 attempts to get it down.

And while I’m on the topic of groups, this is probably my favorite healer picture, of all time:

omghelp

This is a picture from Lineage 2, in Cruma tower.  First a little bit of a set up.  Back when this was drawn, you often brought both a buffer who could also heal, and a main healer to parties, which were 9 man groups if you had a full group.   At level 41 players had just class changed into healer or buffer, but they could still do both.

Anyway in this picture the most important mob to kill right away were the Snipes and the Snipe Cohorts.  They were random spawns that would show up anywhere in the room you were in and you’d need to immediately switch to them or suffer a wipe.

This picture show the tank yelling 99999! which meant he was likely, non-English (that was the way they said help, don’t ask me!) surrounded by a Snipe and Cohorts, a Krator (melee), and Ricenseo (nuker).  He is almost dead.

The “idiot” melee players are working on a Mordeo, which is not a priority like the Snipes.  Another idiot is picking up gold (items dropped on the ground and you had to pick them up) rather than helping anyone.  The archer player is screaming help when he was too far away from the tank and pulled the additional Excuro mobs the group did not need.  He is also almost dead.

The one healer will full mana said “brb”  DURING this mess and clearly did not help heal.  The player in the foreground is making the angry face with a fist because they are OOM from having to use battle heal (flash heal) and his/her group are all terrible.

New people argh

Last night my new team was supposed to do some heroic progression, but we were missing 2 people so INSTEAD, we did all normals and even better, brought 2 people that had never even done LFR, so had to listen to fight explanations prior to each fight. Wasn’t really pleased about that. DS has been out so long it’s not fun.

But besides that it’s nice to continually have another healer with that I don’t have to be concerned about slacking or doing the wrong things.

Angiecakes

Ran DS with Post Mortem and we did heroic Morchok and Ultraxion. Their priest, Angicakes, who didn’t show the last 2 or 3 weeks showed up this time. They were also archangel spec and during the trash at the start I commented that we’d need to work out an arrangement for Rapture. 2 disc priests drive me crazy. They ended up switching to a resto shaman though. Otherwise, nothing really exceptional happened.

Oh this isn’t my main

Since I sit around in town a lot, it seems I’ve become some form of “officer” of the guild, especially because I can invite. I don’t have officer chat like in Bloodbathed, and can’t change the bank, or change ranks, but eh.

We’ve been trying to recruit lately and I’ve brought in, rather inadvertently, some new people. One was a warlock, whose name I can’t recall from Tol Barad (Perfide). A horde, what else is new right. He switched to an alliance after the battle under the name Cluny to ask about us as a pvping guild. I said I’m really the only one who seriously does it. They wanted to join anyway so that was that. I mentioned that I want to be known as “that damn priest Ocyla” and he said he thought that several times the past battle. He was one of those fucking fear bomb warlocks.

This druid msg’d me today wanting to join for a raid spot since we were recruiting a resto druid. Missing 4 enchants, questionable reforging, 386 ilevel. I checked out their raid progress and they were only 2/8 NORMAL. I asked what was up with that and I got “I’m 8/8 on my priest”. Their priest, named Mfer (lovely), was only 6/8 normal, 384 ilevel, missing enchants. I questioned the 8/8-ness and this time was told “oh we did it last night” which would have updated by now and then “oh right I switched to my dps for the last 2”. Uh huh. I told them we can (sometimes) do 3 heroics and we were raiding tonight and if they wanted to go they would need to be prepared. I found out later, they did not even show up for it.

I declined tonights raid earlier in the week. They started it at 8 which is 30 minutes earlier hoping that it would help somehow. People not fucking around would help, but ok.

Ladiesman told me he’s quitting.  And just so we’re clear?

Cardboard Assassin?  It’s not the same.

So what is no one is doing it right?

I posted a thread on the WoW Forums about my situation in general here and someone mentioned that if people are not willing to look up fights, and do their class/spec properly and gem and enchant, just that would stop them from raiding with that group. So I was looking over some of the people that come to our groups on our ‘heroic’ nights. I can only fully check out characters I know how to play past the basics.

Rayzo, rogue – appears to be set up properly

Yellowducky, hunter – missing one enchant and 1 chimera’s eye

Trenchx, mage – checks out

Cinor, warrior – missing 2 enchants, 1 glyph

Sonnylee, dk – looks ok, don’t really know DKs

Nyghtwolf – checks out, forged some mastery into haste, don’t druids love mastery?

Scubasam- missing one enchant

Backlash, shaman – missing 4 enchants

Shamwhoa – missing 4 enchants, 1 glyph, purified demonseye in red slots (so very bad) reforging spirit and mastery into haste. Noooooooooooooo
