Celestial Tournament can DIAF

Fuck the Celestial Tournament, seriously. This past week it was the ‘easy’ trainers, and I really didn’t have a hard time with them. However looking up strats for the other 4 just wasn’t working out. I checked wowhead and it recommended pets I don’t even have like Bonkers and Unborn Valk- I simply haven’t seen a single one of those yet. I got the ox down and almost got Xu Fu but thanks to some stupid RNG he lived with about 200 hp. The dragon and the crane just wrecked every team I threw at it, and I have like 80 level 25s now. I’ll be honest though after 2-3 tries and getting wrecked I gave up.

What I find crazy, besides people saying it’s easy, is that some winning combinations seemed to make no sense. Rabbits and frogs against undead, makes sense. Using something, I don’t know, like a mech, that isn’t even using a strong skill against the target would have probably taken me ages to figure out. Anyway anyone that says they one shot it with no guides is FULL OF SHIT.

2 Petting

I have been playing my druid a lot and am up to 3 pieces of grievous so far. I am loving their utility, pounce, kitty stun, typhoon interupt, bear roar in any form, etc. It’s good stuff.

I’ve been leveling pets like mad too hoping to get the celestial tournament done but man it’s rough. Spending like an hour only to fail and do a repeat is annoying. Pet leveling has been pretty fast though. I can basically 2 pet the earth pandaren with Rapana Whelk and Infinite Whelp, I can two pet the water one with a Sandy Petrel and Emerald Proto Whelp as long as my low level pet can survive ALL THE DAMN WAVES. I can two pet the wind one with Emerald Proto again and a good ele killer that isn’t aquatic. I just tend to have favorites and forget I have something like 50 or 60 level 25’s. Annnnyway. Pets are fun, I may level a few for friends or something.

Guild Meltdown

Well I lived through yet another guild meltdown. We got a new monk healer who is good, but it turns out Silly and Duriel posted this past Monday looking for a new raid team before the raid on Tues and Wed. Yesterday Duriel kicked Omninal, that rogue, and all of Angey’s alts, then server transferred to their new team. It was announced that we will now be a casual guild. Not surprising considering 4 of the members of it are now gone.

I was no longer on the team anyway, but much like when Duriel was looking for a healer for CMs when they already had me, I found it rude that they were looking for a new team when they already had one. I mean everyone can leave when they want but stealthing it like that sucks. Oh well what can you do.

Cruc also “un quit” and started playing again, but is horde now. Needless to say the guild is pretty dead.

Proving Grounds are HARD

Haven’t updated in a while. Hm. Well, when I stopped raiding I had a lot of free time, so mostly farming and making things and such. Got past the Black Prince exalted part of the legendary quest line and got my meta gem.

Before all that I got gold in Proving Grounds, but it was REALLY HARD. I had to go as holy and use all my fingers, thumbs and maybe a toe or two to get past that, plus it took several attempts. A priests lack of utility really hurts in there along with the low gear level. I think it was on par with getting gold in challenge modes. Apparently druids and monks have it much easier, monks probably because low spirit is what they do anyway, and druids have a ton of utility to help block some of the damage. I will try it on my druid soon, now that I have some PVE trinkets.

Otherwise, the new LFR, kind of brutal. Spent 3 hours total one day not getting a damn thing down. Asking LFR dps to stop dpsing just doesn’t happen. Needing part of a group to do something else, not gonna happen. Having a fight where the lazy afk tunnel vision players get instantly killed and fails the raid. Hm. Not so good. I mean, that design is good, but for morons in LFR, not so much.

NOT IT

Seriously what is the deal with people defending nodes?  I’ve had all of the following circumstances ALL THE TIME:

On my healers.  Lone defender, usually a hunter.  They either request help or I see them being attacked, check the map and run and save them.  They promptly scoot off and leave me alone.

5 people rush a base, usually farm or stables (depending on faction), cap it.  All 5 run off, leaving me solo.

On my hunter.  Healer cries they are solo at a base.  I go to add my dps.  They run off and leave me alone.

DPS or heal, at a base with someone else.  That person is afk and just stands there as I’m being attacked.

Sometimes it gets frustrating being the only one doing objectives.  But still, horde wins a lot.
