Paying Attention is Expensive

Originally OQueue seemed like a good place to find actual serious pvpers. But, gosh lately it’s just as bad as getting in a random. First off, CTF maps pop way, way too much. I had one we actually won, but our warrior FC didn’t seem to notice the flag was returned, and avoided the cap spot, while everyone was screaming in chat, CAP CAP OMG CAP. He barely made the cap, before 6 of the other team burst into our flag room.

Nearly gave me a heart attack. A pixel one, not a real one.

Then had on, 2-3 Twin Peaks where we were all over the place, zero peels, zero support carrying the flag, getting GY camped, that kind of thing. Then WSG’s, same thing, they run the flag across the field with no resistance, we don’t even pick up their flag, and so on. I think I’m ready to quit.

Then, I sort of gave up wanting to do 2’s.  My rogue partner, literally says things like “I didn’t notice you died”, or has 25% of my overall damage.  I actually threw a fit one night when we almost had a resto shaman dead. I got caught in a stun, and he couldn’t close the deal with the shaman at 5% health and she hard cast in his face. To full.  I said seriously, I’m done.  I’ll have full prideful on both chars next week and although I don’t especially LIKE arena, I really dislike it when someone who admits they “tunnel vision” and has no awareness of any kind.

I only had one more achievement to finish off the Children’s Week achievements, but frankly the last one is bogus.  Get all three pets, on a single character.  You can only get one pet, per year.  So this takes 3 years? Wonderful.  I checked all my characters and I apparently never did it any other year.

Finally figured out how to cap the graveyard in Zangarmarsh.  Yeah.  I didn’t play in BC and never looked it up before.

You get a flag from your town in the area and have to run it over to cap it.

This is also the first time I’ve ever run the cart in Deepwind Gorge.

Now that in itself was not weird, but that battle was.  I ran to center, NO ALLIANCE.

Ran to their base.  NO ALLIANCE.  Ran the cart all the way back to our base, NO ALLIANCE.  It was eerie.  I think I saw maybe 2 the entire time, and I ran the cart 3 times. Very weird.

2300 Healer? No?

I did some randoms last night with Suchbarn, a warlock named Vado and some other people.  I really only remember the ones I see a lot like Zim the rogue.  Anyway after doing my usual healing I guess the warlock was impressed and asked if they picked me up in the 2300 rbg group.

The Randomess of Low Level Behavior

In the course of doing battlegrounds and dungeons at low level, I really have come into variety of behavior.

Sometimes I get compliments:

Sometimes I get called a retarded Sasquatch, who needs to exit the bg and never play again,  told I’m a terrible healer who sucks, is afraid to leave a base, and is losing the bg for us:

Sometimes I have dungeons where the hunter afk’s because he’s “smoking a blunt” and another saying they are lagging because they are streaming porn, and likens the dragons in Sunken Temple to dildos.  I’m not making this stuff up:
