I caught another RBG last night, which happens to have the same mage that picked up my hunter the night before. We totally won this, and easily.
I thanked them for taking my hunter, since it’s often hard to get groups anyway. I rage quit an RBG before that, where the team was doing so well they could send 6-7 people to our FC and we had no defense. Just couldn’t take it.
And, really?
Fucking warlock pets.
I hit 44 last night, and thinks are finally getting good. I got Paralysis, I’ll be getting Dematerialize next level, and I think mana tea is coming up.
Though low level bgs are still rather amusing because of class imbalance. For instance I LOL’d at bg chat twice today:
Really enjoying the class. I managed to even cap my hunter last night as well. I think some people think I’m that Tease person that records on twitch.tv though. The other day I got something like “don’t afk Teasel I’ll be watching you!” It’s like huh? I had been asked if I was streaming one night and I asked what the heck, and they told me about that. weird.
Wellp it took until I got Surging Mist to have a viable heal for surviving hunters, rogues, warriors, etc. Why the bleeding hell monks don’t get a fast STRONG heal until that point is beyond me.
Battlegrounds are without a doubt even more amusing at lower levels than 90. I’m not talking the insane damage from some classes, just the playing.
For example no one really guards a base, like not ever. This is somewhat common at 90 but it’s funny to watch a full 14 people rush past Farm at AB and not one bother to cap it much less stay to defend. I’ll comment that no one is guarding it, and some smart ass will tell me to. This goes back to the “someone else can do it” pattern of things.
I point out I’m a healer, that’s not my job.

I get all prima donna on them and tell them I, do not, defend. It’s a matter of principle. YOU DPS. ME HEALS. I mean I could. I sometimes do but I don’t want to encourage this stupid behavior.
Also: Murderous bunnies with axes in Stonetalon Mountains. The little things you don’t see flying everywhere.
I got my monk to 25 today, and I went Mistweaver. At 25 I still only have 1 heals, Soothing Mist and Enveloping something or other. The first one is channeled, and leaves an obnoxious trail of green to your target, showing everyone exactly where you are. The second is instant, only if you are already channeling, otherwise it’s a cast time.
Where’s the healer? OH THERE.
First of all, I’ve leveled two healing priests, a druid healer, a paladin heals, and a shaman healer. None have felt so gimped in the healing department to that point. I was rocking with a single heal when a priest was coming at me with pw shield on, penance, flash heal, smite, and throwing sw pain on me.
Monks get a 50% exp bonus if they transfer using a skill on a 1 hour CD, to Kun Lai Summit and fight this panda. Over and over. Each time.
My only defense at this point if I remember right, is my roll. I’m in full BoAs and rogues still one shot Ambush me.
After doing a bunch of bgs with this fun (if I were new I’d have quit by now!) I got frustrated and made the following comment in regards to constantly channeling a heal to get anything done (lol spell lock out!):

I know low level pvp isn’t balanced, but to the extent that it’s not balanced seems really wacked. I got a MW monk to 14 today and I have a single heal; Soothing Mist. It’s channeled, can’t move with it either, and hardly heals through any damage from say, a rogue. I have this one channeled heal right, then I see a disc priest roll up in a shield, with penance, flash heal, and smite. Ok? One heal. Seems legit. I don’t know if I’d keep playing if I was new dealing with that. I died to the same rogue like 5x in a row just trying to go from the Farm GY to Farm. FUN.
I had a similar problem with 2-3 rogues in a WSG, where I kept getting murked (merked? mirked? whatever) before I even hit mid. After about 8 deaths that way, and it was clear we were losing (their team had all level 14s and we did not) I said fuck it. Then a warrior on our team laid all the blame on me not rezzing. LOL sure.
It feels like questing is slow as well. Both on my warrior and the monk, you do 5 quests and still haven’t gained a level. You can’t do dungeons yet, and travel is a PITA because you have to find all flight points. The “Call to Arms” might be in Stranglethorn, yeah GL getting down there is under 2 hours if you don’t know what you’re doing. I’m serious. Last time I tried it, I had a hell of a time. Maybe they did it to make boosted 90 seem like a great idea.
