We’ve done this before

Sigh. My shamans group was another disaster of a night. Rayzo had to go into work early, so we made one attempt at heroic Morchok and I swear to god, why does it always feel like this is the first attempt ever on this boss? We’ve done this before!!! Why doesn’t it go smoothly??

Anyway we had Lila’s friend on his warrior who died soaking the first stomp at 100% health, he was rezzed, then promptly died the second stomp. Cinor asked him if he was using Recklessness and he was like “wut?” and someone linked it, and he wasn’t even aware he had that ability. Even though we said a few times you would NOT want to use that, he said he would use whatever we told him to use. It’s like uh, we said a few times DON’T use that because it increases damage TAKEN. He said it wasn’t even on his bars. His dps was pretty low besides that.

We did the rest of normal, and boat went normal (close to getting the ship blown up) even though I said in vent that everyone should soak the little purples if they have the health for it, etc. The warrior got hit by every rush and aoe there was it seemed too.

Scuba died straight away on Ultraxion during the first “push the button” phase, and said he wasn’t really watching it, he was multi tasking. He was rezzed and he said he shouldn’t have been, I think it was along the lines of “I’m not really feeling it just leave me dead” which pissed most of us off. A few other people mentioned not really paying attention to the fights and doing other things, and I gave a bit of a speech about how “not really caring’ doesn’t get you heroics, but no one bothered to respond.

Then on spine most of the group was blown off when they were stacking and there was a lot of “I didn’t know which side to go to” Um the side without corruptions? That side maybe? Rayzo rage quit at that point, then Jynx professed loyalty to Rayzo and the legendary daggers and said he was going to stop here so we didn’t cheat him out of a kill. Even though… Lila found a replacement dps. Sigh. We all logged kind of pissy to very pissy.

Work is Poop!

Out in Netherwing areas these days trying to finally get Exalted.  These guys, just made me LAUGH!  And made me think of my own job…

though you end up finding out that the murkblood are trying to assist the Netherwing, and at one point one of their foremen gives you his hand just to help you out. The spell is calling “giving the hand” I believe.  I give up LOOKING for eggs though, if I happen to find one, great, otherwise looking is annoying.

I also did the Skyshatter races, and man I’m glad you can’t get knocked off your mount any more when they throw stuff at you.  I got hit a few times and lost once, but I have cheater can’t get knocked off abilities now so clearly easier.

Doing Heroics

We did 5/8 heroic last night on my priest with A9N, and had to pug a dps and a healer, since Nilvana was out with a broken computer. I recorded Heroic Zon’ozz but did not do Hagara in case I screwed up on the ice phase again (I mostly didn’t). I picked up heroic shoulders, ring, and took a head token I’m not sure why, I think I thought it was heroic and it wasn’t. Was tired or something.

Nothing really remarkable other than the shaman “lagging” during Hagara a few times, and going oom during the end part of Madness, but otherwise everything went smooth.

Our Relentless group will need to pony up more dps if we are thinking about heroics and drop the notion that a raid leader should be calling out every little thing.

Lightning Rod

We had our alt raid last night and this time brought a guildies alt shaman who was doing 5-10k heals on the first 4 bosses. They claimed it was because of their gear, but from spell usage it looked like they just didn’t know how to play a shaman. Then we had our problem priest, and a druid from RS. It went pretty sloppy even with the nerf, and we failed on boat. I got Lightning Rod from Hagara though so I was happy.

I think people forget that even with nerfs, the mechanics of the fight are the SAME. They didn’t nerf them to LFR faceroll status.

Did DS on the shaman last night, and we one shot heroic Morchok and attempted heroic Yor’sahj but even given healing assignment, the other healers were building stacks on my healing group and blew it up twice. I watched Cinor’s stack go from 0 to 2 when I didn’t even cast a heal and only I was supposed to be healing him. He hit 4 from me out of necessity then someone kept on throwing heals after and boom. Sigh.

Everything else was done on normal. Ring of the Riven dropped and I guess it was assumed that it would go to Trench, but I outrolled and won it. I was asked if it was a “joke” roll and “I didn’t know healers would roll on that ring”. I was like, what? why not? It has haste and mastery, both of which are desirable to almost any caster and healer. I had been using the LFR version so, ok?

I swear people think that only spirit items go to healers.
