Mages, always the mages.

Worked on hitting 85 tonight on my paladin and omfg why is it again, I run into another idiot mage. I don’t know what drew my attention to the dps charts but I noticed they were not casting fireball, scorch, or really anything that required a cast time at all. I set my focus to them and again, never saw them casting ANYTHING that wasn’t instant, other than occasionally a hard casted pyroblast.

I told them they were doing it wrong and they said some nonsense about how FFB was better than fireball but they only cast it 22 times the entire dungeon. Their top 3 damage skills were living bomb (ok fine), fireblast, and flame orb. They told me they knew what they were doing and I basically harassed them the rest of the run for being bad and before I left commented that “do your next party a favor and l2p”. I was so mad I was ready to leave that party mid way just because the mage was stupid. Mages drive me INSANE.

A few dungeons later I ran into them again and after the first pack of trash, said I wasn’t healing this bad mage again and left.

Bella just can’t Priest

We did FL the other day on my priest, and tried some heroics. We got heroic Shannox down, tried Rhyo but the adds were completely out of control so did that on normal, tried Baleroc on heroic but there was much confusion on the shards, and the two times Bella got the link, he did not move at all so whoever else had it had to run to him. Besides managing mp terribly, he has poor raid awareness and spell selection is bad.

We tried heroic Staghelm and ended up getting that down, but at one point I died, I think from someone blowing up their seed in raid, and he cost us a kill by not keeping Cinor up. I targeted Cinor to see what heals were going out and focus’d Bella, and saw he took no heals at all for a good 15 seconds, then Bella started prayer of healing, which would be useless since the tank was center and everyone else was spread. If we want to be semi serious about raiding, we need to bump people that can’t appropriately react to fights. As it was on the kill we did get, both healers got themselves killed and I solo healed the last 15% of the kill.

Did heroic Morchock last night, the rest on normal. We only have 3 people above 30k dps on Ultraxion, so a heroic kill there is not likely to happen. Plus people can’t always click on fading light on normal, it’s much harder on heroic and you must click FAST. There’s maybe only 2 things I want for my shaman at this point, but nothing dropped I could use the whole run. Getting tired of this tier of raiding already.

Boss DPS

Ran a full clear with 2 heroics with A9N again, had a few screw ups on skittles because of some dps mess ups and I think once because the druid healer blew us all up. But, it’s so relaxing to not wipe 1000x on the boat, or spine, or DW. I picked up the normal version of Maw of the Dragonlord and Visage of the Destroyer. Spine was a little troublesome since many people were getting hit by the slam on the second platform, but really it was markedly easier than some of my shamans raids lately. Oh and Nilv had to basically solo heal Zon when I DC’d halfway through it.

Nilvana put out 27k hps on Madness and I did 25k. And per usual dps was sick at 47k at the top from Soinso to 40k from Eng. Swan was at 25k and the dual boxed rogue even managed to put out nearly 25k. I wish I could see this all the time.

Mages are Douchbags

I don’t know why mages are typically the douchiest players I’ve ever met. Ran a new dungeon with Essaac (druid, I’m not talking about him it was a pug mage) today who just turned 85 and is naturally doing shitty dps and needing on all the healing gear besides that. I don’t mind that but I personally would kick up a fit if I also needed something a damn druid was needing on when they aren’t in the spec they need it on. For the record even if no one else in the group needs what I want I’ll say “ok if I need for OS?” or something. But, that’s me. Since I was healing and didn’t need gear, it wasn’t an issue.

Anyway we got End Time and everyone was doing less than 15k dps so all the fights took twice as long as normal. That wasn’t a real big deal until we were on the last boss and I recommended hitting the hourglass every 20% because the dps is “pretty low”. The mage apparently took offense and started with the usual mage insults like “I could outheal you on my pally” and for his poor dps “I’m pvp fire spec” and something about how I don’t know how to pvp, so I mentioned my priest and he kept going on about how I was so “fail bad” and this and that. I would have let him die if he was taking any damage. I had to put out 20k hps because that fight went so long and people were undergeared or whatever. He mentioned his paladin so I told him every time I dispelled wings or bubble I’d “think of him” but he said that made no sense because he is of course, a moron (hint, you said you had a pally, stupid) Oh well.

You sure? Ok then

Ran the first 4 bosses of LFR the other day, and watched Cunning of the Cruel go to a BALANCE druid who was doing FERAL dps, at around 6k dps. They then went to actually using balance during the second boss, and brought their DPS up to around 10k.

On the third boss I won a new ring, which was technically a side grade (which I ended up equipping) and that druid asked if they could have it because my gear was better. Stifling an urge to tell them to fuck off I said sure I’ll trade for that trinket. Needless to say they declined. Someone from Ragnaros, that druid was. Totally sick of seeing that server, and Goldrinn in my queues.
