Not much going on lately. We only did MV this week because Silly was missing (computer probs) and Dor was out. I got another shadow piece but lost the roll on an off hand. We did not do HoF.
I am enjoying the Shieldwall dailies though, not too many, the area progresses as you move along, pretty cool. The sandy landing beach I was just at the other day, now has an alliance fort on it. I like it.
This is pvp related but UGH my server sometimes. Picked up with an old arena partner from some time ago, he wasn’t that good but didn’t rage and gave it a good shot and that’s all I can really expect on my pve server usually.
He’d been away from the game for a while and wanted to do area again. We do a few Bgs and I notice he’s getting wrecked pretty quickly, and has about the same health as me. I take a look at his gear, 7 missing enchants, no pvp trinkets, several pve heroic blues, etc. I tell him he needs to replace all that crap with pvp gear. He’s like yeah soon as I get some arena in I will. I’m like yeah no, you need to replace that shit, with pvp gear. You are dying way too fast, you need the resil and pvp power.
He tells me STR/CRIT are important and that the heroic PVE blues are better than the pvp gear. Sigh. I’d been through this before, trying to do arena with a dps in epic raid gear and they get DROPPED. Not interested in doing it again.
Had some insanely close Gilneas battles lately, had one we won by 30 and another we lost by 40 that I worked SO HARD OMGMGMGMGG to try to win. It was like trying that stupid BG in a RBG.
So anyway I’m not that pleased about my gear progress via raids right now. My helm, back, and chest, one trinket and weapon is all LFR. I’ve only gotten 2 pieces of tier which isn’t work even equipping right now. I’m using the LFR robe only because it has native spirit and my other one did not, and losing out on over 600 spirit is a problem. My neck, shoulder, belt, pants, and one ring are all from rep. My off hand is crafted and so is the other trinket. My other raid pieces after weeks and WEEKS are gloves, pants, and bracers I had to use a token to win. Bleh.
I kill people that AFK in LFR. See the warlock with the green triangle on him?
He was standing there doing nothing and did maybe 5k dps total. So I ran off to the side, and life gripped him. The fears threw him all the way to the edge of the water and since he was out of range for heals, he died. I then msg’d them with “that’s what you get for being afk”. Of course all the guy would have to say is “I was feeding my baby/mother/donating to charity/curing cancer” and most of the raid would be like “aww” and then them afk through anything.
and why why why do I do more dps than dps and tank classes? Hmmm???
And I must have missed these quests earlier, here is me spitting out cider to douse some fires, classy!
Hm let’s see. Our raids, yeah. Lately I’ve been top heals by a significant margin. I don’t know if it’s because of SS/PW:S sniping or what, but being 10 to 16% higher than the other healers seems more than sniping going on.
Did some old raiding with Nilv and this AQ clear got me my Classic Raider achievement. I don’t know how I didn’t have that before.
And this title/buff is just awesome.
“But he/she is nice”. I’m hearing that a lot. Today it was in relation to that horde warlock, Gabrielle, who is really bad. The light forbid you say someone is bad and hear “I have them on real id”. Yeah well, they still suck, I’m sorry. This warlock shows up in TB and WG quite a bit, and every last time I’ve seen them, they just get pwned and do next to no damage or CCing on the other player. Like real bad. Today I showed up in pve gear when I phased into WG. I was taking mild damage while still getting my bearings and looking around at why the hell I was getting hurt. It was that warlock, doing barely jack to me.
And for the record, yes, I’m a terrible mage. TERRIBLE.
Anyway Anni has her on real id I guess. Then I got to hear, she pvps for the fun of it, not someone who bases how good of a person they are if they can beat you. What? You can be a good person, but suck ass at pvp. Then I heard “i hate people who think they are hot shit since they are good at pvp, in a video game”. If you are good you are good, what subject matter you are good at doesn’t matter much to me.
I admire the good pvpers, there are plenty that are douchebags. I don’t speak with them but I admire what they can do. I find horrible pvpers a waste of time and I fail to see how it’s fun to just get the floor wiped with you. I play to have fun, but I do my best to DO my best. Oh well.
We have a similar issue with Dor healing in our raid. Nice guy, can’t keep a tank alive in Heroic Stoneguard. I don’t want to wipe and or fail all night because of it.
