Boarthrills and Pool Ponies

I’ve been running into Boarthrills, a hunter, a lot in WG, and TB, and one day we grouped up around Hellfire/Nagrand killing ally.  We later grouped with Deadmeen who I’ve been helping gear up on Timeless Isle.

Eventually Alliance brought a disc priest, 2 hunters, and a rogue.  Wariorhunt, an ally hunter, was basically unkillable with 565+ pve gear though.

I got Boar on battletags and got them both in vent one night and stayed up waaaaaaaaaay too late doing world pvp.

Also, I found it odd that this workshop in WG only had one guard, and he was sleeping.

This is usually  how the battles go, however.

 

WG is rather hard to defend sometimes since vehicles often slip past you completely invisible.  I posted in the bug forums, but there was an instance where I was in the fort waiting for their demo to come by, and it went THROUGH me completely invisible and even didn’t show on hunter tracking until it was well past me.  I noticed I’ve done that myself driving vehicles, where I see an enemy player and they run past me like I don’t even exist.

Ran a WG with Crux and finally got the Armani battle-bear.

Also ran flex 1-2 with Moo and the guild, and came out with a flex bow, trinket, necklace and gloves.

And, Don’t question my genius!  The pool pony was the best!

The funny thing about DK’s and Paladins

When you use the Hardened Shell on them, they travel so far so fast, they are usualy 1,000 feet in the air before it actually hits, then hilarity ensures.

The nice thing about Halaa is you can get them from the islands, if they aren’t paying attention, from on top of the buildings, or as they hover above the water, which is only safe in a very narrow margin.  Otherwise, splat!

I say this since in world pvp, the other pvpers are Alliance, and usually raid geared, which is 100k-300k or more hp on you plus thousands of stats more.  You have to be clever and use terrain and other objects to get the upper hand.

There’s no Crying in PvP!

Alliance has been popping out in world pvp more than ever lately.  Had 3 90 warriors in Halaa, plus a 90 hunter.  Griefed them a little bit roaring and smacking them a bit.  Did have some fun when 2 of them dueled and I killed the loser in front of the other 3 then escaped.

Oh and Blackwydow is back at complaining at dying in pvp, in a pvp zone, again.

He says things and logs so fast I can’t even reply most of the time.  I finally logged over to Alliance and told him to stop bothering me on my horde with crying about dying in a pvp zone.  Oh and my ‘gay lover’ THIS time is Deadfrog on his rogue.

A warrior asked me to do 2’s today and I flat out said no and added that I already capped.  And I mention this because I get it a lot.  Somone asks for a favor, I say no, and I get some excuse that should, presumably make me want to do it.  In this case, and it was something Ultrabomber use to do, he said “but I just need a few wins then I can get 2 pieces of gear”.  Hi, let me introduce you do I Don’t Care. I said no.

Lei Shen Kill

Last Tuesday, we were down Shellblock, who was an hour late, and Angey who was even MORE late.  That meant the rest of us got to stand around that whole time and do nothing.  Oh and Onenightstab left the guild.

We did however, finally get Lei Shen, I think it took 4 pulls only because I wasn’t able to see any of his spell effects until I rebooted, so it was mostly my fault I think.  The fight was pretty easy.

And out in Halaa, I killed THIS hunter while THIS priest was on me.  Sorry guy. At least twice.

Deadfrog is MEAN

The nasty priest I picked up some nasty tips from showed up in Halaa in the afternoon.  But before I get to that, the mage that I easily kill solo showed up a few times.  He also showed up with a hunter, and I killed him with both of them attacking, then turned and killed the hunter.  That must have been embarrassing.  The mage then came on his alliance paladin to tell me I was good:

He also insisted we duel where I handed him his ass without ever having to directly heal myself.  Note: don’t start EVERY duel popping barrier, and mirrors.  I’ll just SG and fear them all and dispel you like crazy.

Then later a hunter, who turns out to be Deadfrog, showed up with a boomkin and WRECKED the Halaa guards in record time.  They also killed me when I couldn’t keep up with all the silences.  Then an alliance warlock helped me out and we destroyed them.  But since it was the same guild, DogsofWar, I knew once they lost a fair fight they would come back with more and they did.  Warlock, boomy and the priest.  We fought so long I went oom and had to drop combat to drink.  But after getting dead a few times I swapped to horde and we talked, and I made a btag friend.
