That “Soulprince” type

The Subzero pally I met on my mage seems to totally fit that “Soulprince” category I have mentioned before. There’s never a “hi how are you?” or anything just “hey we need a healer for Gruuls lair, Naxx, Hor, CoS, PoS etc”. The last two times I said no but occasionally we have sort of silly conversations like

him: wanna heal naxx?

me: no

him: we’re full just need healers

me: no

him: oops lol just filled sorry

Um, yeah I said no, I didn’t want to go anyway.

Been adding friends to my list left and right lately thanks to pvp in WG/TB. Picked up Iocane who was a rogue who helped kill a horde being irritating on our docks, Misery another rogue who also has a paladin (Damnesia/Crucifixion) they pvp a lot with, and a priest whose name escapes me at the moment (edit: Sassyhooves). If I remember right both Iocane and the priest are both female too.

In TB I’ve been following around Cann from VoW because he seems really good at the fire mage pvp. Plus once I came running to his rescue after a battle, after mind visioning where he was and caught him just before a death. Oddly enough depending on who is at TB, I don’t always get a warm reception. We had one today where there were around 5 horde at Slags for a good 8 minutes and other than a DK running in once in a while, no one ever came to help. We had 0/3 bases with 2 minutes left, and no one was at slags nor WV. I said “we’re going to lose like this” and got the usualy stupid “if you think that way why are you here?” (obviously I’m trying to make us win, duh) and “don’t be a negative nancy”.

There is nothing negative about looking at a map and determining we probably don’t have what it takes to win it. Especially when no one is moving out of ICG and still aren’t taking it. I was told I should leave the raid, I was like seriously? Two people confirmed it so I left (Marvel and Mysterea). Was kind of amusing.

9 minutes later or so they did end up taking it, but geez.

Pants on the Head

This pally I met on my mage, yeah, think I’m gonna remove them from friends. I joked with Jan and told him I had no idea what I was thinking, and today I feel like I woke up with a a hang-over with my pants on my head wondering what I did the night prior.

I ran some dungeons with Lila last night on my priest to get cap in case we don’t raid today, and the guy kept asking for a run over and over. I told him I was heals, and we cannot 2 heal a 5 man. I asked if he wanted to go as dps? We ran most of the next dungeon before I got a reply, since I queued only after waiting about 2 mins for an answer (I’m antsy what can I say). We picked him up for the next one and got HoT which he again said he didn’t like.

Between what he said he does for work and his age (over 20), I figured I’d get a little more maturity but if I didn’t know any better I’d have guessed I was talking to a 13-17 year old. The run itself went fine but then we had a really maddening conversation after when he asked for trinket advice. He’s in mostly all 378 gear, so I asked if he has been raiding yet, no. I told him in my opinion to run WoE and get Foul Gift of the Demon Lord, then go to the old JP vendor and pick up Core of Ripeness if money was a problem. Then when raiding cross fingers and hope to get Heart of Unliving, and then in the second slot use Windward Heart or Seal of the Seven Signs. I told him another choice would be to buy DMC Tsunami rather than Core.

At that point I got a lot of “no one sells that trinket” I said it’s the old JP gear vendor. “I don’t see that”. I said it’s to the side of the other vendors. “I don’t see it, it’s not here”. YES IT IS, and I told him the vendor name. Then I got “rare spawn npc”. I was like what? He’s in the SAME ROOM as the JP and VP vendor. “Naw man it’s rare spawn and not here”. WTH?

Then he said he was going to get that awful Reflections trinket with spirit and on use SP. That trinket is horrible for almost all the healers if not ALL the healers. (possibly good for holy priest I dunno, but still probably no). I told him it was garbage and bad and he started to argue to the point that I was like “look I’m 404 ilevel, and I raid heroics on 2 characters and have 3 healers, I read up on healing all the time, trust me it’s bad”.

He came back with “I have a 415 healer who said it’s great” and I was like “fine don’t listen to me” and logged. Ugh.

Inconsiderate Idiot Type

So, I think my new pally healer friend is either an inconsiderate idiot type or just that age that screams “inconsiderate idiot type”. I logged on and he invited me to a group, I said I want to queue for a dungeon (since I’m working on Wildhammer rep) and we just sat there in group for a while doing nothing. I left party and said look I’m gonna queue and queued up. He invited me again and said he was just getting some noggenfogger elixir or whatever it’s called.

This is stuff I hate like a cat hates baths. I do not want to WAIT to queue. I want to queue RIGHT NOW, especially as dps. Sure having a healer with you is instant queue but if I have to wait 5-10 minutes for a healer to be ready, I may as well have sat in a queue during that time. Maybe that’s bratty of me but I really do hate waiting on other people for things I can do myself.

At any rate we queued up and he said he wanted to leave at the first boss Arcurion in Hour of Twilight because he hates this dungeon. I said it made no difference to me, but it was pretty easy to heal.

We got the first boss down and the tank left, then he was like “I gtg” and left, leaving me with another 8 minute queue wait. If there is much more “Soulprince” behavior I’m out of this real id thing. I’m also being called a “bro or gal” even though my name is clearly female in real id /shrug. lol

HANDLE IT

Man, BH has been ridiculous lately as well as random pugs. Got my pally in a BH 25 today or more correctly, a 21. We nearly hit the enrage timer. Three things dropped that I wanted, but they were screwing around so hard with loot it felt like a ninja was about to happen. A warrior rolled on a caster neck, saying he was rolling for another mage, the warrior and mage both rolled on a ring even though the mage won the neck, etc. I think a lot of people left just because they were screwing around so hard on the loot. I did win the crit ring though, which I traded at the mages request for the neck, which had haste I wanted more anyway.

In LFR today I won the gloves token for offspec, but gave them to a warlock who asked nicely, and appeared to need it to complete his 4 set. I only use ret to dps quests anyway. He/she did not cry when I said I wanted it for offspec, not like the priest did anyway. It bugs me when people cry immediately after not winning something.

Did a last boss End Time today where I said the ranged should do the hour glass and the hunter said they didn’t “know how” and the mage also didn’t know how. I explained you literally just CLICK IT when the boss is at 80%, 60%, etc. I didn’t expect those guys to make their own judgement calls. The mage keeps saying they don’t know how and I was all “omfg” and they were like “f you guys” and left. Cya. Fing mages. I’m sorry I CAN do the hourglass, but with 2 ranged, hell no. FIGURE IT OUT.

We got a priest and took him down in 6 FREAKING MINUTES. 6. The dk was doing 6k dps with time warp each time and no one was over 15k. Not even a satchel run either.

Sigh. My shamans group was another disaster of a night. Rayzo had to go into work early, so we made one attempt at heroic Morchok and I swear to god, why does it always feel like this is the first attempt ever on this boss? We’ve done this before!!! Why doesn’t it go smoothly??

Anyway we had Lila’s friend on his warrior who died soaking the first stomp at 100% health, he was rezzed, then promptly died the second stomp. Cinor asked him if he was using Recklessness and he was like “wut?” and someone linked it, and he wasn’t even aware he had that ability. Even though we said a few times you would NOT want to use that, he said he would use whatever we told him to use. It’s like uh, we said a few times DON’T use that because it increases damage TAKEN. He said it wasn’t even on his bars. His dps was pretty low besides that.

We did the rest of normal, and boat went normal (close to getting the ship blown up) even though I said in vent that everyone should soak the little purples if they have the health for it, etc. The warrior got hit by every rush and aoe there was it seemed too.

Scuba died straight away on Ultraxion during the first “push the button” phase, and said he wasn’t really watching it, he was multi tasking. He was rezzed and he said he shouldn’t have been, I think it was along the lines of “I’m not really feeling it just leave me dead” which pissed most of us off. A few other people mentioned not really paying attention to the fights and doing other things, and I gave a bit of a speech about how “not really caring’ doesn’t get you heroics, but no one bothered to respond.

Then on spine most of the group was blown off when they were stacking and there was a lot of “I didn’t know which side to go to” Um the side without corruptions? That side maybe? Rayzo rage quit at that point, then Jynx professed loyalty to Rayzo and the legendary daggers and said he was going to stop here so we didn’t cheat him out of a kill. Even though… Lila found a replacement dps. Sigh. We all logged kind of pissy to very pissy.
