I wish I could remember, if I knew Kilnor’s alliance alt, since they blew me a kiss during one TB battle.  Maybe it’s just another person like me /shrug

Anyway, got lucky the other day and ran into Lil Timmy with his white kitten and picked one up.  Nilvana has already given me some on my characters but I sent this one to my shaman.

Shockblocker has a mage on the horde side named Angelus who is quite good, and since he’s in guild I wave at him in TB and such.  We talked a bunch about pvp and ran a few bgs together too.  I’ve been called “man” and “dude” a few times.

The Firelands area has phased once again for me and now the area near the Flame Druids is littered with little flame treant corpses.  It’s kind of eerie.

My poor name, has been confusing people again.  In my raid I’m calling “Oh kai luh” and when I helped Relentless get Cho’gall so they could get their dark phoenix, I’m called “Oh suh luh”.  I understand it’s a weird spelling, but it’s not too hard.  A lot of people abbreviate it as “O C” and all you have to do is add a “lah”.  “Oh see lah”.  But as long as I know they are talking about me I don’t care much. I actually kind of like the Oh Kai luh now that I think about it.

Anyway, ran 2’s with Karma and I would have been 4-0 but he bailed on one fight and I had to take a loss. I believe it was an accident.   The first three wins were fairly quick, but when I asked for one more win, then we were sort of punished.  We got a battle at fing Ring of Valor against a holy paladin and a hunter.  It must have lasted, gosh, 40 minutes.  A few times we almost got the hunter down but then at a critical time the paladin would resist a MC or something and heal him up instantly.  The paladin was also able to do some speedy thing, run in a corner, and sit down and drink, undoing all the massive mana burning I was putting out.

The direction my fears were throwing the paladin weren’t very favorable either.  But, after forever Karma got the hunter down, the paladin retreated to a corner and I burned the shit out of him.  We won.  Now I just need RBG cap, and next week I believe I can get my new staff.

Firelands Quests

Well, making some progress on the Firelands quests.

Catching up over the weekend, we got down MajorDomo Staghelm and I got the Jaws of Defeat trinket. Then we went on to work on Ragnaros and made it to second phase a few times.

I was loathe to give up Core of Ripeness as a mana regen tool for the Eye of Blazing Power, so I equipped the Jaws item instead.  The Eye trinket, I may equip for battlegrounds or arena though, might be useful, or on fights where I know I can manage my mp fine with with my normal class utilities.

I tried to run RBGs last night but got in bad ones where we got Twin Peaks twice, and were destroyed each time.  I got CC’d so hard I couldn’t do anything and died.  Basically we had a FC and 2 healers running the flag, and the rest of the dps were supposed to be handling mid.  Instead it ended up where the FC and I ran through mid with the opposing team having EVERYONE there, and we got rolled.  Didn’t get a single flag capture.

Then stayed up way, way too late doing arena with Jan.

but I am very grateful I got close to cap, I thought I might miss it this week again. I’ve done very little arena this season so far.

Baleroc

Tonight we raided, and got down Baleroc, yay!  So, rather than watching for a buff to fall off another player, I just figured that I would heal 2 raid damaged people, heal the tank until my power auras told me by buff was off, then heal 2 raid people again, while throwing guardian spirit on Pawpados at the appropriate times.  At one point I did life grip on him instead of guardian spirit, which, I’ve never done.  I slipped up on that twice today, I don’t know what the deal was.

I was ridiculously lucky on rolls tonight.  I won the Funeral Pyre staff, then Flickering Cowl of the Wavecrest, then Eye of Blazing Power trinket.  Since I had just gotten the healing off hand though, I gave he staff to a pug druid that had wanted it.  Some nice shoulders, and nice looking, dropped as well, but I lost that roll.  I had already won 2 things so I would have given it up anyway.  up to 372 ilevel now.

Tried running a rbg with some random people, but, we lost.  I survived quite a bit but it seems like people always get hung up about the other teams rating.  Ok yes they have 1500 and we had me at around 1100, another person at 1400 and mostly 0 rating.  So? That may just mean you haven’t earned your rating yet.  Don’t let it pysch you the hell out.  Everyone crybaby quit after that.

Healers Fight

Last night we got down Alysrazor, even though that fight has like 4 phases, it was kind of fun.  Then we tried Baleroc.

This has been labeled a “healing fight” but I ran into some real problems. The way we were doing it was, to swap healing when the healer in a predetermined order, lost some flame buff, then they would stop tank healing and heal the people with the shadow crystal debuff.  But my problem was, I could not SEE when the healer ahead of me, lost their debuff.  And neither healer was talking in vent, so between pulls I was hastily trying to set up my interface to focus on the healer before me, setting up power auras, etc. At the end it seemed to just be a healing free for all which mostly worked ok, but then the paladin healer, Andrac,  kept getting the buff that reduces healing by 50%, and was trying to melee the boss to get mp back, so it just went badly from there.

But I’m sure we’ll get it next week. After that I ran 2 dungeons and in SFK I got “finally a good healer” XD  The non Z dungeons seem to suffer from that a lot I’ve noticed, I get in a lot of dungeons that are half done quite a bit, but I like it.

Hyjal Dailies

Did my Hyjal dailies.  And oooh spiders ooooh get off get off!

then saw a rogue named Karmarouge spamming for a 2’s group, so after a while said I’d run with them.  We did 3 wins in a row which capped him after 1 win, then we did a few more to try to get me capped.  Unfortunately all 4 attempts after that were losses, including one fight that he dropped out of at 30 minutes because we got the rogue (with a holy pally) down to 500 hp and even throwing my dots on him, he some how survived and I was completely OOM and out of all CDs.  I survived about 60 seconds after he left but we lost.  The other lost fights were against 2 frost mages, and every single team had 2 stealths besides the pally one.  But it the fights were really close and I am ok with that.   The rogue seemed to be quite good also.  I must have mana burned that damn paladin at least 10 times and tried to chain fears and mc’s but no luck. Ah well.

Then did some rbgs with that rogue and Pomstars group again, and got my cap, got the Private title and 1,100 rbg rating which gave me another achievement, called In Service of the Alliance.  That seemed to prompt Mauker in guild, who is running guild rbgs, to ask if I wanted to join their group on thursdays, to which I said yes and went and posted on the forum about it.  Ran into Zukk during a AB that we won too.

Tonight was a raid and, I really, really played like crap at Shannox.  I ended up in at least 2 fire traps and got stuck in crystal 3x between 2 fights.  I was avidly looking for it the entire time but for some reason didn’t see them, and got stuck.  I was not happy with myself.  Ended up winning the Goblet of Anger though, an extremely nice offhand.

We got down Rhyolith after, 3 tries I think, then nearly got down that fire lady, got her down to about 10%.  I’m sure we’ll get it tomorrow.  What I don’t like about that fight though, is that the tank healers get to mostly stay in one spot and heal, and I have to bounce across the field and all the fire to heal ranged on either side.  Would be nice if they were in the middle if possible but eh.
