Toying Around

I queue up a dungeon for the inn quests, but there is a satchel offered, so I take it.  I get Heroic Bloodmaul Slag Mines.  I phase in mid-pull and the tank, a DK, is A BEAST.  He’s pulling non stop but, super easy to heal and without even looking I assume he’s a mythic raider.  I was tempted to compliment him but… just held off.  Turns out that was a good idea. Plus he had “qt” in the name, so, you know.

The mage asks if we can do Croman.  The DK says some insulting things including “don’t want to carry your s*** a**”. and “do that s**** with your guild”  Then he and his paladin friend say they want to kick the mage.

We ask why.  “that way we don’t have to pay a repair bill?” the paladin replies.  Oh great.

The DK is pulling non stop, and tells us he wants to die on purpose.  But he’s easy to heal and even chain pulling we do fine.

Then we get to the second boss.  The DK decides he can’t die by chain pulling so, pulls the boss, and halfway through run out of the room and just stands there.  During this, the paladin randomly decides to attack me.  “Coq, this is my 6th 100 and I have better gear than you, you’re bad” and the DK  lol’s in agreement.  What that had to do with anything I don’t know.  I ran my first WoD raid this past Thursday.

At any rate without a tank people slowly drop and we wipe.  The DK and the paladin ditch.

We finish with a new tank, and I end with no satchel.  Sigh.

6v6 in Westfall?

I got into a 6v6 out by Saldean’s Farm the other day, Ravenshield came with, and randomly joined a few other players.  Unfortunately the spriest, warlock, and paladin were no good, and kept engaging the horde nowhere near where I was.  I won’t break stealth to run after you, especially when I said where I was waiting.

However a hunter doing a considerable amount of damage, named Skittles (Alanis) joined, and ended up adding them to my list.  A ‘not a guy’ for once, but under 20 as per usual.  Either everyone who plays this game is a teen, or some real lying is going down.

Ashran, unfortunately had some changes for the worst.  They put in gladiator mobs at the end of the bridges to the boss, which have more health than Fangral or Kronus, and respawn constantly when it’s not “time” to kill the boss.  And the boss is on a 30 minute timer now.  So if you happen to summon captains or Fangral at the wrong time, these glad mobs eat them alive and you are screwed.  Awesome.

We had maybe 10 alliance in raid this morning, when usually it was a full raid or two.  Just awful.

 

And pet battles.  Sigh.  FIGURES.

Weirdest Rage Tell Thus Far

A level 97 rogue was killing npcs in Honor Hold, and then harassing people at the towers.  I went feral to try to deal with it but he kept bouncing around on his flying mount, only landing long enough to see someone make a move and then flying off.  Ok well whatever.  All I could do is drop a moonfire or two.

Then I got a random rage-tell from an alliance hunter basically “ha ha damn all you 100’s can’t get me LOL so sad HA HA HA”.

I dropped a MOLL-E and shot off an email expressing confusion over gloating about running non-stop.  You can’t really get over on someone by flying around in the air.

 

 

Then got into an argument with a stupid hunter who rage-quit the raid in Ashran because he didn’t like “the leader”.

Adding People Faster!

Lately I’ve been adding people to my btag list faster than I can ever recall.  I need to write these down to remember the circumstances.

Hugs (Modakka), Dk I met when trying to find the Unborn Valk pet.  Ended up helping me look for one.

Ravenshield (Ravenshield), a warrior who commented on my paladins transmog as I stood around Stormshield, who helped me find a good 2 handed transmog (Claymore of the Prophet) then we did some bgs together.

Bunky (Crizunk), paladin who was cheeky in a dungeon I was healing on my druid, ended up talking a lot and doing some dungeons/bgs.  Started up healing contents to make horrible bgs a little less awful.

(Blackbeltkid) I forget the character name, but a shadow priest on Sargeras who helped my paladin kill a bunch of rares.

Stardancer (Star), a rogue who I met while questing on Sargeras who helped me quest.

Westmoreland (Okumsup), rogue I met on Sargeras who I PM’d telling him the group was full.  That led to a discussion about my name, the Korra show, and so on.

Shankashank (Xeno) Low level rogue I met on Whisperwind on my druid, who watched me kill a DK and a warrior who was attacking Darkshire.

 

Besides all that, bgs have been somewhat of a fuck story. Hunters are insane, DKs are insane, and CC is only different on casters, who got screwed.  Melee and hunters, all the same if not worse.  Then there’s crap like this in Ashran:

Where Horde on Whisperwind farms ALL the events, then summons 20+ captains and Kronus.

I still do enjoy my dances with rogues though.  Kited these two pretties all over the map.

Queue to Queue to Queue

I get queues are needed but man.  I run to Ashran to queue.  That will take a while so I queue for a bg.  Those have been around 6 minutes lately.  Double-queued up, now what? Can’t do much of anything else because either can pop at any time.  They are supposed to fix Ashran at least, by making it be more like a bg and open more instances.  I’m sad about that though because I thought it would be a persistent zone like Wintergrasp, only open all the time, and only for your server.  I want to play with people that come all the time like the old days.

I met, SO many people that way.  Fratricide, Ladiesman, Acks, Whitescourge, Zukk, Perfide, Rexe, Sealgaer, Darkest, and, yeah. A lot.
